Golf cart
Ollie has worked at Guide Dogs for 34 years. He will finally be turning off his work phone on Dec 18. I would love to see his friends and colleagues come together to give him a great send off. What would we get him? A golf cart, plain and simple, drag along, no motor, no voice control (a bit like his wife!🤣). Any leftover funds will go to the charity of his choice.

Ollie, you will be very much missed at Guide Dogs! You are the epitome of management should be. Thank you for always having time for people, for always having a genuine interest in their lives and the work they were doing, for having a sense of humour, for filling the office with the smell of coffee, thank you for supporting me many times, and for telling me to be a boomerang. See you soon for a drink! Lots of love, Em xx

Will be sad to see you go, but no doubt will see you for a few 'quiet drinks' when we are all allowed again! Enjoy all the new found free-time, and not having to zoom in your PJ's x

Ollie - you will be missed at Guide Dogs, and in the Maidstone office especially. I'll miss listening to classic rock and drinking strong coffee with you! But wishing you all the best for the future - whatever that might hold. Sarah x

Ollie, we've shared moments over the past 3 decades, from ridiculous drunken trips to the Beer Engine to you guiding me through the minefield of what is known as a project at GDs! I wish you could stay for my own selfish reasons. Enjoy every moment in your new adventure! x

Every Idea has it's day, Ollie, and December 2020 seems the right time for the leaving "idea" Enjoy whatever you choose to do in the future. Even if that is nothing for a wee while! Cheers Gordon

Thanks for giving me the opportunity to do something great and for having the time to support me and the teams I've worked in along the way. Best of luck with your next ventures and hope to catch up for a pint in the not too distant future, Rob

We have worked for GD for a similar time, we first met in the late 80’s in the “Now get out of that” GD competition. I think we were camped in Birmingham somewhere having just pulled a barge, climbed in blindfold and in the evening you had your brown duffel coat on (big sponge hair) and you played the guitar whilst we sat around the camp fire. Of course we also got very very drunk! It been a pleasure to have worked with you and for you. I’ve been lucky to have been managed by several great people and I would say you were at least number 5 so a very satisfactory experience.....only joking! Like previous comments you recruited me to the South East as a manager and you helped to make work fun, focused and you also bought more rounds than anyone else ( when you remembered your wallet!). I’m lucky to have just retired and I live just round the corner to you so I’m looking forward to golf, beer, rowing and a crafty fag! All the best Ollie, I’m sure you will be missed at GD’s but this is now your time...enjoy and chill!

Hey Ollie, where do I start? oh yes Bye! No seriously not sure I can cope with going down memory lane, so many laughs so many annoying habits, losing keys, losing phones, being surprised we were the first ta a meeting until we realised the meeting was in Leamington not Hillfields where we were sitting. thats another good thing about virtual mtgs! I'll miss you loads but I know we will keep in touch. Wendy XX

Dear Ollie, You’ve had a massive impact over the five years we worked together. Thank you for all the trust, guidance and new opportunities you sent my way. I’ll miss the work and non-work conversations. It’s a pity the pandemic robbed us of all of the normal pub sessions this year. Hopefully we’ll meet up soon. Good luck with your next adventure and keep in touch. Jack
